Meet and Greet event Friday 24th October

Hi folks - has anyone applied for a ticket to the "meet & greet" event on the friday night before Firefest and, if so, have you heard anything about it. I sent in an e-mail the day after it was announced and another one a week later but so far I have heard not a squeak. Anyone know what the position is??

I booked the tickets months ago - as soon as they went on sale and then booked the hotel straight away. My girlfriend and I got an amazing rate at the Hilton, including dinner on the first night (Thursday) so we will be making maximum use of the facilities on Friday and then making our own entertainment on Friday night!! Hope to see some of the unlucky "meet & greet" applicants around the town then!

Im staying in the premiere inn there,s 7 of us coming up from south wales after the meet we should all head for the Maze pub about 6 minutes walk from Rock city, Tara,s secret on stage from 10.15 pm.

I am one of the lucky ones and have managed to get an email from Kieran for the meet and greet, I am staying in the Premier Inn in Goldsmith Street - have stayed there both times I have been up and it is very nice, it would be great to meet up with fellow forum rockers over the weekend. Can't wait!!!!

Can someone help me to understand what goes with this " meet & greet " ?
( sorry my english is too bad for "read & speak " )
They said :
" Please do not Email again as despite our best efforts to secure a venue large enough to cater for 600 we could not, and invitations will be offered to the next 250 people after the initial 100 successful applications. "

I try to translate the full message with GOOGLE but at this time I don 't understand and I don' t know how to get an invitation !

Is it something offer ? ( I got only my normal tickets for the two days...)
Where does it happens ?
When ( friday , saturday, ???? )

Is it a lottery or I must be among the first persons to have the chance to get one ?

It's a little bit " complex " for so if someone can help me ( with simple words ! lol )

Hi Fred. This is different from the main Firefest performances. On Friday night, before Firefest starts, there will be a small gathering of people and some of the bands who are playing at Firefest will be there to meet and say "hello" to some of the fans. Entry is, as you said, by a "lottery". About two months ago we applied for tickets by e-mail. 600 people applied but only 100 people won tickets. The organisers have decided to move to a bigger venue that holds 350 people but they have asked that no-one else applies for tickets as they are going to give them to the next 250 people who applied originally. So - if you didn't know about it before, there is nothing for you to be concerned about!

And for me , big regrets because B&T is one of my " best-kept-secret-fantastic-band " in melodic rock !

I hope that the FIREFEST TEAM will put some video footage on the internet site after the acoustic show-case because It's something absolutely incredible !
